Welcome to Carmo’s Tech Repairs. We believe in clear, friendly, and honest service. These policies outline how we handle your data, our service agreements, and our general terms, specifically for our Australian customers.
Data Protection & Privacy
Your privacy is paramount. We only collect the data necessary to fix your devices and communicate with you about your repair. We collect contact details and technical logs needed for diagnosis. Data is used solely for service delivery and billing via our Australian-compliant systems.
- Remote Access: When using tools like AnyDesk for remote support, we only access your system with your explicit permission for the duration of the session.
- Backup & Recovery: While we take every precaution during data recovery work, we recommend you maintain a separate backup if possible. We operate with strict confidentiality.
Customer Agreements
We aim for complete transparency in our booking and repair process. Remote or on-site sessions can be booked online. Please provide 24 hours notice for cancellations. We charge a $50 call-out fee and a $75 diagnosis fee. These cover our professional time and travel within our local region.
- Approvals: We will never perform paid repair work without your direct approval of the quoted cost.
- Warranties: All repairs come with a standard limited warranty on labour and parts used.
- Responsibility: Customers are responsible for ensuring software licenses are valid and accessible.
General Terms & Conditions
Our service usage is subject to the following limitations. While we are experts, some hardware failures may be beyond repair. We will always advise honestly.
- Liability: We are not liable for pre-existing hardware flaws or external data breaches beyond our control.
- Policy Updates: We may update these policies to stay compliant with Australian Consumer Law. Significant changes will be posted here.

Customer Agreements
Booking & Fees
- Standard Call-out Fee: $50
- Diagnosis Fee: $75 (waived if repair proceeds)
- Please book at least 5 business days in advance to ensure part availability. If parts are required.
Approvals & Warranties
- No paid work starts without your explicit approval of the quote.
- All repairs are covered by a 90-day labour warranty.
- Replacement parts are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties.
Your Responsibilities
- Backup your data before your appointment.
- Ensure you are present or have an authorised adult at the call-out address.
- Provide clear access to the equipment needing repair.
General Terms & Conditions
Service Limitations
Carmo's Tech Repairs provides on-site and remote technical support within the regional Victoria and Southern NSW area. While we strive to resolve all issues, some complex hardware failures may require specialized laboratory equipment or factory-level repair which falls outside our mobile service scope. We do not support illegal software or activities and reserve the right to refuse service if a working environment is deemed unsafe.
Liability
In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, we take all reasonable care during our repairs. However, Carmo's Tech Repairs is not liable for data loss that occurs during the repair process; customers are responsible for backing up their data before service. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the cost of the service provided or a re-performance of that service.
